**MCP (Model Context Protocol)** lets AI agents call Nue's business logic as structured tools. Nue exposes these through a single endpoint — the **Nue MCP Gateway** — that federates a set of specialized servers behind one authenticated connection. Connect once with per-user **OAuth** and the assistant works as you, with your permissions. See [Connecting to Nue MCP](docId\:H6afI-jEH6817eW0vD13w).

## Available servers (opt-in)

These servers are available and are switched on by an administrator from the MCP Servers list in your tenant. They are **not connected by default**, because the work they cover is financial and administrative rather than everyday selling.

You can also add your own [External MCP Servers](docId\:TAssMkgQ9g_37SfC0Hzjz) — Sigma, Gong, Fellow, or any MCP-compliant tool — so Nue's agents can reach the rest of your stack.

## Why a separate server for each domain

Splitting Nue's surface across specialized servers behind the gateway — rather than one monolithic server — gives admins and agents tighter control:

- **Scope tools by intent.** A renewal motion doesn't need the product-authoring tools; a pricing-rules edit doesn't need customer records. Per-server tool sets keep prompts focused and reduce the chance of unintended actions.
- **Per-server governance.** Access is managed per server, and the audit trail records which server ran which tool on whose behalf.
- **Independent evolution.** New tools land on the relevant server without bloating the others.
