    "description": "<p>Copies an existing quote into a brand-new, independent quote, carrying over its line items, applied line price tags and price tiers.</p>\n<p><strong>Key behaviors:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>The source does <strong>not</strong> have to be a template quote — use this to duplicate any quote, such as a revision or next year's renewal built from last year's</li>\n<li>The clone is always created in <strong>Draft</strong> status and is never marked primary</li>\n<li>It is named <code>&#x3C;source name> Copy</code> and stays on the source's opportunity. The endpoint accepts <strong>no overrides</strong>; to change the name, opportunity, start date or term, follow with <code>POST /cpq/quotes/{quoteId}:update</code></li>\n<li>Price tags are always copied; there is no flag to suppress them</li>\n<li>The clone stays on the source's account, so its <strong>tax is copied across unchanged</strong> and is correct. Pricing and negotiated discounts are likewise copied as-is and are <strong>not</strong> recomputed — unlike the two template endpoints</li>\n<li>Cloning a quote with zero line items succeeds and returns an empty Draft quote; that is not an error</li>\n<li><strong>Not idempotent</strong> — each call creates another quote. A timed-out request may still have created one</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Salesforce-integrated tenants only.</p>\n<p>Apex equivalent: <code>Ruby.GlobalQuoteService.cloneQuote(String sourceQuoteId)</code>.</p>",
